The Verizon iPhone will suck

Everyone I know who hates AT&T has the same thing to say - "Boy once the iPhone is on Verizon, I am gonna get one".  But think about that for a minute.

Verizon is about the most locked down carrier in the US.  Go look at a Droid, or a Droid X, and see how Verizon has bastardized the Android Operating System to serve their needs.

  • Locked down? Check
  • Replace cool Android apps with Verizon sucky proprietary apps? Check.
  • Disable features in favor of "value added" Verizon services? Check.
Look at the VCast App Store for Blackberry, filled with a bunch of crap Verizon wants to sell to it's users for a high fee. What a load of crap, and consider this: Blackberry has it's own app store - Blackberry App World.

I have always believed that AT&T mobile has a motto "We're not happy til you're not happy".  But the powers that be were smart enough - and I bet Apple insisted - that the crapware skins, ringtones, and other stuff carriers want to shovel to their users was not littered all over the iPhone.

The Verizon iPhone, if it happens, will suck.  You read it here.
